Our school has been doing school wide interventions this year. We use the DIBELS to form our groups. Basically, from 8:30-9:00 each morning each teacher is expected to be doing interventions with a group. In addition, every other available person in the building (coaches, specialist teachers, student teachers, etc) has an intervention group. The lowest 6 kids (the intensives) are pulled out into the hall with an interventionalist, where there are tables set up. In the classroom, each teacher works with the group of 6 next lowest kids (usually the strategic). We use Benchmark Education Start Up, Build Up, and Spiral Up phonics programs to provide instruction.
We regroup after each major DIBELS administration. Hope this helps.
