Birds I saw today that I did not see yesterday at Carver Park were
Gray-Cheeked, Swainson's Thrush, Black and White Warbler, and a pair of
Cooper's Hawk. I noticed a few more Gnatcatchers as well. Late yesterday at
Chaska Lake, I found a single Canvasback and Lesser Scaup. There were very few
shorebirds(1 Lesser Yellowlegs and Killdeer) at the Chevalle wetlands this
afternoon. It probably didn't help that 2 of a resident's Golden Retrievers
were chasing geese in one of the ponds.
