Combining yesterdays totals(ended up with 98 species) with todays at Carver
Park, I saw 110 species. Besides Yellow Warbler, residents, and sparrows, most
migrants were scattered and difficult to find this morning. Highlights:
Least, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Eastern Kingbird
Yellow-throated and Warbling Vireo
House, Sedge, and Marsh Wrens
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
12 warbler species: 1 Blue-winged, 2 Tennessee, 1 Nashville, Yellow, 8
Yellow-rumped, 2 Black-throated Green, 2 Palm, 1 Black and White, 1 American
Redstart, 2 Ovenbird, 3 Northern Waterthrush, and Common Yellowthroat
Henslow's Sparrow (I waited 10 minutes in the location they have been previous
years before he began calling. A couple minutes later he hopped into view)
Bobolink (only a couple)
