After last spring, I thought it would be a couple of years before we had a
spring that matched that here in Carver County. Apparently I was wrong.
After the great Yellow-rumped Warbler exodus from Saturday night through Monday
morning, a great influx of Tennessee Warbler arrived to Carver Park Reserve
Monday night into Tuesday(May 20) morning. Numbers of the Tennessee are very
similar to the numbers that arrived to Rapids Lake on May 16, 2013. Each of
the last 3 days at Carver Park, the number of Tennessee have remained
consistent. My counts have increased slightly, but that is because I have been
able to stay out a little longer each day. Today I spent just over 4 hours
out, but I would need at least an additional 3 hours to cover all trails well.
