Yes - and old people - namely the Babyboomers and older - are starting 
to need glasses etc to see, and are hardly likly to use monitor 
resolutions that require a magnifying glass to see the contents thereof.

I know of a person who needs reading glasses and who has her large 
monitor set at 800*600.

It is still best to design for a default size of 800*600
