The problem here Ben, is one of mis-interpretation. The non-developer is
confusing OPEN source and .PUBLIC groups with "Open to the Public" and
being fed to usenet.

I'm currently in the process of attempting to open .mozilla groups
alongside netscape.communicator and netscape.netscape6.windows, .unix
and .macintosh

This alone may be an important move to lighten up access to these groups.

The "can of worms" is already open and can't be closed but maybe we can
deal with it in a reasonable and affordable manner by opening the other
groups.
