Whose "end users" ?? 3rd party software vendor's end users, that's who. Mozilla is being developed for THOSE "end users", not its own. Therefore, it is, or will be, the responsibility of those vendors to support the product, not Mozilla's. This is a very deceiving situation to the "end user" and it is mostly the fault of Netscape/Mozilla to begin with by creating *.PUBLIC.* groups in the first place. We gotta live with it or try to change it the best we can. Creating the end-user groups on the "secure" server was the best option. The advantage is no usenet feed, no spam feed, etc ... Netscape Navigator/Communicator support has been on the secure server for years and years now and has been VERY successful. We went with the proven plan. BTW, Netscape's proprietary version 7.0 is one of those so-called 3rd party vendors. Netscape is supporting the product on the secure server in dedicated 7.0 groups just as it has supported Communicator over the years. In essence, if you support 7.0 you also support Mozilla simply because 7.x is Mozilla with add-on features.
