AFICR, 224Kb/s was where most listners of most pieces couldn't tell the
difference. Unfortunatly, even at 320Kb/s some people could still easily
tell with some pieces.

I think the matters are worse if you consider EQ.

If you want to do archive, you can get lossless compression in the range
of 690Kb/s with algs like shorten.
