I added this to the todo list. I think it would be best to
have a --lowpass <freq> and --highpass <freq> options, and
remove the -k and sfb21 switches alltogether. The default
lowpass frequency would then depend on the bitrate and sampling
rate.
But in the mean time, it is easy to add this:
for example, in lame.c around line 724, if you hard code
lowpass1=.50
lowpass2=.65
it will start applying the filter at 22*lowpass1 kHz,
with all frequencies above 22*lowpass2 kHz removed.
(22 is assuming 44kHz sampling frequency.)
