**It is unfortunate that you chose to take offense verses provide an explanation
of the process. It is the recent references (comments you made) to "highly
qualified candidates" that made me wonder exactly how a resident of St Paul
determined who the most qualified is to represent me; there are valid research
processes that, if utilized, could potentially accomplish this, and I wanted to
know - still want to know - what process is utilized so I can make a judgment
regarding how seriously I take your endorsements.

**I have questioned other groups, including Progressive Minnesota, in the forum
where they made their statements of support for their respective candidates.
Responsible voters need to understand why and how endorsements are made, not
just that they get made. Incidentally, the only group that hasn't provided an
explanation of their process is Stonewall DFL; why the secrecy? It's my bet
that if the process is clear, you'd encounter a lot less questioning - even from
Log Cabin Republicans.

**Am I to assume, then, that this is the process in it's entirety? No research,
no voting records for those previously holding public office, no reference
checks, nothing??

It would seem to make sense for anyone's cause to support the candidate that
will support their respective cause, whatever that may be.

Congratulations on attending the Lavender protest, Megan, were you joined by any
of the candidates you endorsed? I am aware that you were joined by two
candidates you deemed "unacceptable"; I am also aware that some of your endorsed
candidates not only were not represented with a booth at Pride, but also had no
literature available at other DFL booths; I am offended by that from any
candidate, but particularly endorsed candidates because of the lack of respect
for the GLBT community it conveys. Perhaps in the future you could include this
type of follow-up in your endorsement decisions. Further, I have tried on
numerous occassions to find out in what ways these respective candidates have
supported the GLBT community, and can't seem to get an answer - when the
question is dodged about so many times, I guess I have my answer! Could this
information be posted on your website?

**I am happy to live in Minneapolis, and plan on voting for the candidates that
I consider most qualified as a nine year Minneapolis resident.

While I can't speak for others who have posed questions, I ask questions because
I want an answer; there's nothing "harrassing" about that unless you have
something to hide. I know there are still some good, conscientious people
involved with Stonewall DFL, so I haven't given up hope yet.
