This is the type of thing that's said when there isn't much defense for the
thinking.

Are you comparing Robert Lilligren and Walt Gutzmer (both who were deemed
"unqualified") with Roy Cohn and J. Edgar Hoover? That's a bizarre
comparison. Lilligren isn't closeted. What's interesting is that requests
for specifics about how Council Member Herron has been a great friend to
the Gay community has fallen on deaf ears.

Oh gee, political parties in Minnesota endorse major league losers all the
time. What about the Jerry Janezik senate endorsement? The Alan Quist
Endorsement? The John Marty endorsement? Just to name a few.

However Stonewall DFL, Log Cabin Republicans, the Sierra Club, the AFL-CIO,
the NAACP, etc. are NOT political parties. They are special interest
groups within political parties, or multi-partisan special interest groups.
An organization such as Stonewall should be able to state relatively
clearly and concisely WHY Brian Herron is a better candidate for the GLBT
citizens in the 8th ward, than his opponents Robert Lilligren or Sandra
Miller.

I think that's interesting and ironic that two of the "unacceptable" to
Stonewall Candidates were out there supporting the women workers at
Lavender Magazine.
