I'm glad people are awake (and perspicacious) enough to comment on this thread!

Given the fact that all things touched by the official process are public data to be retained forever, that might be a chilling effect, which is why I have continued, as a totally private person, to inform and comment -- none of my stuff is 'public' or burdened by the official process (for what it is worth)!

I don't have a map drawn myself, but to David, let me suggest that if you define the community as "High-density, high proportion of rental, middle to upper class rental/condo," that Uptown is a community of interests (I wouldn't be in that ward and neither would David - we would be in another ward that had medium income detached housing!)

Communities are not simply defined as geographical, but may be defined by socioeconomic status, density, etc.etc.etc., which is why GIS is a great techno advance in this area (David has already drawn some of these kinds of plans, himself).

Keep the cards and letters coming folks, and draw those plans, cause I suspect unless confronted with someone else's ideas of what a ward plan is, the ultimate plan won't change much.
