On Sunday I took a beautiful, brisk 1 hour 45 minute walk along the creek and around Lake Nokomis. At one point, my pedestrian path had to cross Nokomis Pkwy at one of those "Pedestrian Crossing" signs. There was a string of cars coming, so I stopped to wait for them to pass.
Much to my surprise, the first car stopped for me -- it was one of Minneapolis's finest. I thought of what a good example this was for all the cars following the squad car, none of which would have been likely to stop.
