At this moment my vote is still unclear as I have the following concerns:
1. Nothing is for free. Even if Irwin Jacobs does it all what is the "hitch?" or ties?
2. Environmental assessment of the impacts of that activity on the River is necessary.
We have spent years trying to clean up the river so what will this activity do to it?
3. Will "jet skis" be allowed off the boats? They are extremely "rude" to the environment.
4. Even though I like the idea of a marina and support it in concept. I just wonder if it is the right time and the right place?
5. Is there something to learn from St. Paul?
6. What about the infrastructure that goes with boats? Winter slips? Repair shops, fueling stations. And if there is food and dining connected I just have a hard time imagining all that on around this "little" piece of land in front of our building.
6. If you have a chance I would appreciate any and all feedback on this issue by tonight - on or off line...
