Why is the world not "peaceful, healthy, and nonviolent"? How would certain
activities promote peace? What causes war? Based on historical research, would
one generally expect a privileged class to resort to overtly violent methods
to defend their privileges and regime when "nonviolent" methods of persuasion
fail?

I am for exposing students to a variety of perspectives and facts, and for
helping them to develop the skills needed to reach their own conclusions.
However, the "peace curriculum" appears to be something else: A "values-based"
curriculum, i.e., religious indoctrination with a secular veneer.
