Someone earlier likened the red-light ticket to a parking ticket (in that it goes to the car's owner, not the driver). However, I can appeal a parking ticket. Will I be able to appeal a red-light ticket? (The Strib story said an owner could go to court if he or she wasn't driving the car - presumably to shift the fine to someone else - but that's not the same as appealing the fundamental basis of a ticket.) I know Lt. Reinhardt is well intentioned when he says "those who respect & obey traffic laws will never generate a photograph." However, no law enforcement system is fool-proof: how can citizens be protected against false accusations? Sincerely, David Brauer Kingfield REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules?
