Beyond that, if kids come from what has been described as an enriched home life, they will be getting music or dance or drawing. But kids coming from other homes may only get the opportunity to play and instrument or learn to draw/paint, etc. in school. In Minneapolis, kids coming from, I suppose, unenriched homes are a hefty chunk of our student population.
