It's the same as Patrick Lina described. Which was probably based on your
design, but made more specific by mentioning which pins on one side are
connected to which pins on the other side.
By the way, I use the DR0/DR1 encoding scheme, instead of clock and data,
so the signal names are different. But the pins are the same.

Note that there is an error in Patrick's diagram (MSX A, MSX B, MSX C). In
this diagram pin 6 and 7 are swapped. Please look at the table and the
connector drawing, which are correct.

I made a cable for just 2 MSXes and I simply soldered all wires directly to
the joystick connector itself. I had to see it working first before I
invested more time and money.

One option is to connect the three signals using three different cables, in
that case Alex Wulms' suggestion of tulip (audio) plug is a good idea.

Another option is to connect the three signals using one cable. Is there
any kind of standard cable that transmits at least three signals? MIDI
cable perhaps? Or S-Video (SVHS)? PS/2 mouse/keyboard connector? Telephone
cable?

>(3) Could you make a manual or add MUCH more comment to your program.

After I've made the changes I mentioned and have optimized it, I'll add
more documentation. Probably in the form of a description of the protocol
(for interested readers) and a "how to use the routines" description (for
the people who only want to use it).

Should be easy to make. I transferred King's Valley ROM back and forth a
couple of times. Current transfer rate is only 1.2 kilobyte per second, but
you can probably expect at least 2 kilobyte per second of the optimized
code. Also, using 7MHz or R800 mode greatly speeds up the transfer.
