] About using connectors:
] Can't you just buy DB9 connectors in your local hardware shop?!
] This way you can just solder your own cable and it fits right away.
] The only problem here is, that you have to prematurely know how
] many computers you're going to connect!
The nicest thing is if you have on one side of your cable a DB9 connector to
plug into your MSX and on the other side of the cable two connectors to
connect to the cables of the neighbouring computers in the ring.
Just imagine, you go to your local MSX club, bring your MSX and cable along,
connect it to the systems of your fellow club members and start playing a
nice network game! And remember, there are already a few network games
around. Currently they work for example with the music module midi ports but
it should be great if the authors start supporting 'our' tokenring protocol
(hint for MSX club West Friesland...)
And this opens also new perspectives for the MSX fairs. Some clubs, or the
fair organization, can organize network game competitions. Just to add
something extra to the MSX fair (in stead of showing those very same videos
for the 20th time as in Zandvoort ;-)
]
] So! When's are Pascal and C libs coming Maarten?! >;-)
I volunteer for the libs for ASCI/MSX-C.
