Of course not, but it's only 2kb (and not 2Mb as you just said), and this
data transfer happens only between head's movement. What Alex Wulms had
said is that MEMMAN does slot switching between SECTORS, and this
hinders the entire track reading in only one turn.

I use to take advantage of the time spent in move the heads to do the 2kb
data transfer. So, there's no time lost!
