Yeah, know that.
Both the HDs I have on my SCSI do not support stopping of the disc.

Yup... I set it to 5 mins but can vary from 1 minute to several hours.

Hmmm... Well the ATAIDE APD feature starts the drive up when it's accessed.
On my SCSI HD, if I switched it off and on again I had to reset my MSX first
before I could use it again.
I think the problem is not that SCSI doesn't support to switch on again (on
PC systems with SCSI drive there is still an APD feature), but that the
SCSI-interface doesn't support it.
That's why the FlashROM of the IDE-interface is sooo useful... it supports
further development of the BIOS without much hassle.
