Hello, Eric!

I also make music for MSX games!
I'm working now on KPI Ball musics (the pang! clone).

You are wrong :)
There is cubase-style programs for MSX. Don't forget
that sequencers are older than nowadays PCs!
For instance, see the sequencer included with BIT2
MIDI Interface, please. It is similar to earlier
versions of Cubase for AtariST (Mike Olfield and Jarre
have made LPs with this!)

Maybe trackers are designed for peoplo who love that kind
of musics :)

I don't agree. Games need good musics! Do you
think the musics from SD Snatcher or Illusion City
are low composing quality?!?!

Obscure? :)
MML is crystal clear! I can see all the music
all the time, and I can make cool things like
triplets-duets mixing, near-human rifs and more!

That depends on replayer, doesn't it?

Right. And my needs include making good musics
for good games ^_-

That's right as well ...... But I insist on this:
Musics on Microcabin and Konami games can not
be made by using Moonblaster.

Because of this I use the best option for me: MML editors
:-)

I think they used midi-alike editor for the music, and
step-by-step tracker for SFX.

But I can not *mix* triplets and duet, for
example. And adjusting the tempo makes me to
set a main tempo that may not match the
adequate tempo for the song!

The editor included with BIt2 MIDI interface ...
Or MML itself provides a good resolution enough
to make 'human' phrases (by using the '{' and '}'
symbols on MuSICA).

Maybe you made something wrong. I have made several
musics with MML and I had no problems with sync.
I suggest you to play the FM-BASIC files included
on the MSX FAN Append Disks.

I know that. As a matter of fact, I have made 6/8 measures
on KPI Musics using MoonBlaster. But ... I prefer to make
that without the using of 'tricks'.

I know that MML is hard for those people that can't
read music scores. MML is very easy for me though.

Thats right. I meant MML is capable of making music
without program-related limitations.
BTW, I NEVER use MIDI Keyboard to write the notes on
Cubase/Cake :) I always use the piano-roll ^_-

I'd like to test Meridian ....
