Shalom may have some of these void. But to use it for the extra english
text is very much UNadvisable for these reasons:
- Text have mostly pointers set to them. You need to adjust many pointers.
Finding these pointers is another matter.
- Text could be encapsulated by coding, so therefore you are stuck to the
space the japanese text is written into.
- Text could be in other blocks the void is in (it is in most cases) so you
need to adjust coding some more to switch the correct block to get the
text. This would make the game more like spaghetti than Konami originally
wrote it in.
Best advice to stick within the space Konami put the japanese texts in
SD-Snatcher translated method (which has cut out many aspects just to get
the text correctly) or (but then it would get a bit too far for me at this
moment) in Solid Snake translated method (AFAIK it uses a method to encode
words used many times to one single character).
