        gtk requires the following:
        --------------------------
        libgtk1.2-common
        libc6
        libglib1.2
        xlibs

        Orbit requires the following:

        libglib2.0-0
        libidl0
        libpopt0

        libxml requires the following:
        -----------------------------
        libc6
        zlib1g

        And with the added benefit that *ANY OTHER XML PARSER* can be used
