PHONE: (no entry for John Doe) Then after sync I have: PALM: Last: Doe First: John ... -- Last: John Doe First: ... PHONE: Name: John Doe So it appears that the entry goes from a "last + first" entry to a "name" entry and then get sync'd back to the palm as a "name" entry.
