While trying to get some decent debugging output I also noticed: I can only reproduce the problem after removing my ~/.multisync directory. If I don't remove that, it doesn't detect changes -- it sees I've deleted 40 things from the Palm (the dups), but doesn't see I've completely wiped out 2 or 3 contacts from the phone that are still on the palm... (for testing to see if they'll get duped).
