At the risk of sounding a bit radical, I think I'll try to make an even stronger assertion: I don't think MusicBrainz should be an encyclopedia of DiscIDs. I think DiscIDs should be means of identifying a release in MusicBrainz that correlates with the disc I have in hand. It's a means of indexing data. I'll now don my flame-retardant underwear.
