Might not be what you want, but if it would be useful to display the
parent(s) on a more permanant basis in To-Do view, then select Tools
\Options\To-Do List format, select the "Task path" tab. Make sure
"Encode task path" is ticked and enter 1 in "Task path depth". From
this dialogue you can also choose whether the parent is displayed
before or after the task ("Notation") and how much of the parent name
is shown. Personally, I have 3 task ancestors displayed which gives me
a good idea of the task context without having to switch back to the
outline view and means that I can enter fairly short and generic task
descriptions.
