my gut reaction is to say to not charge her.....but maybe you can just give her
a real great price....like just to cover your gas and tolls??? (you don't have
to tell her that) depends on your circumstances...I guess....

Don't charge her. It's a farewell gift. Don't expect it, but dont be surprised
if she pays you anyway. ?

A Post Script to this too--- I also give lots of freebies to clients. A little
nail art here and there--free repairs when the snap their nails with gardening
shears or in the car door. I will give them a free upgrade to P and W because
all of them then move over to them.
I was going to ask all of you your opinion on this: I have a client that van no
longer get here due to her heart condition. She is on Hospice. She and her
family want me to go to her and do her nails. This was almost impossible the
past three weeks, but I was going to go down to her Saturday until my 5: made
an appointment with the kitchen designer. Then I had to go visit my father who
is in the hospital. (Stage 4 pancreatic cancer). So I thought I could go
Wednesday night.
Sooooo, here is the question: she is almost an hour away. Do I charge her? For
the service? For travel? I plan on putting her in pink and whites so she can go
a month without a fill and the nails will still look good. If I do not do her
nails before she dies she will come back to haunt me!!! She is my longest
standing client from when I started nails in this area.
So, what would YOU do? Charge or not?
Muchas gracias all,
Lynnette

your post reminded me of something....many times when I have not charged for a
few repairs or have thrown in some nail art...the client often gives me a
bigger tip!! Saying something like,"oh come on now you did SOOO much work
today!" I usually just smile....and say thank you!?
and...that makes me look like the "good guy"?...LOL
