what I always have done is staple the money to the receipt part of my GC and 
put that in my safe... when they redeemed it..I paid myself... also allowed me 
to see what has to yet to be redeemed...

Agreed, and I almost posted that yesterday. The best idea I've had is to get an 
envelope, put the money in it, then pay yourself when it's redeemed.
