Believe it or not, in a pinch on my own nails, I used my GermX hand sanitizer knowing it was mostly alcohol.... I put some in a dappen dish and dip my OPI pusher plus into it, then scooch back the cuticle. It gets the skin nice and soggy and I even end up rolling off the dead skin as I'm pushing... I have done this for almost a year now, works great... then I scrub fresh the nails really well and apply foundation, then whichever gel polish we choose. Top coat and oil the heck out of them, then paraffin dip and out the door.
