I use CND Cuticle Away on every client and remove it with water via spray
bottle as that deactivates the chemical reaction. If they have gnarly cuticle
then I let it sit on there a minute or three and get great results.

I went to a Shellac class a few weeks ago and the instructor recommended not
using a cuticle remover product prior to application of Shellac......and she
was actually shocked when I mentioned use of oil any time during the service,
except at the end. She had definite feelings that any kind of product on the
nail could interfere with shellac bonding. For the past year I have been using
a cuticle remover, and I'm trying it without now just to see if there is a
difference, I just use my tool on the dry nail.

oil, file nails, apply cuticle remover, do cuticle work, apply Almond Scrub,
send them to wash and scrub with a brush, use Scrubfresh, and apply new
shellac. Then solar oil and massage. The cuticle remover works great and no
pain for anyone... :)

Subject: NailTech:: Cuticles from hell

Okay so I know we are supposed to do a dry manicure on our clients prior to
application of the shellac or gelish...however I have a few clients that have
cuticles from hell...in just 1.5 weeks they have more cuticle then nail growth
doing a dry manicure is painful for both me and the client...I tried wet
manicures but bad idea ended up with product malfunctions to the 10th power
with bubbles and pealing and so much more....Please anyone have any suggestions
for the cuticles from hell clients?
