I went to a Shellac class a few weeks ago and the instructor recommended not using a cuticle remover product prior to application of Shellac......and she was actually shocked when I mentioned use of oil any time during the service, except at the end. She had definite feelings that any kind of product on the nail could interfere with shellac bonding. For the past year I have been using a cuticle remover, and I'm trying it without now just to see if there is a difference, I just use my tool on the dry nail.
