Hi
Mounting the transformers remotely would be a bit of a nightmare and not
recommended. If you really are bored with nothing to do you could
consider a larger box and have a bit of a rebuild keeping the
transformer away from DC wiring and possibly enlarge the heatsinking for
the power transistors and rectifier(s) to let it run cooler.
OR simply put the lid on and forget it for now!

P.S. if, say, moving the transformer back a couple of cm (1") would
help, you /could/ buy some longer replacements for the six screws that
hold the back panel on the supply and stand it off by that
distance...but if it's quiet...
