Just jumping in here I didn't read all of what's going on. Here's my  
experience I had the original duncan faders In my 24x8 series 1e. I replaced 
them with P&G and have noticed a great deal of response. The glide ratio is 
much better and the faders are obviously much smoother. The caps are a little 
fatter which I like better. If you have the money it's a definate upgrade. I 
remember that swapping them out is a very simple 3 pin molex connector. Also 
having the board be modular in my mind is the first hill to go up with out 
being modular it's really really difficult. Either way what ever the time and 
money these boards are well worth it. Good luck!
