Hi Andrew, Jim,
The first thing you need to do is to make sure that your power
supply(s) is trimmed to exactly +/-18.00 volts. If you haven't done this
before, you need to know that you need to trim the -18v rail first as
the +18v rail tracks it. So, trim -18v first and then make any minor
adjustments you need to the +18v rail to make it match. The whole
console will be happier with the supply voltages even.
Then you can try a bit of the F-5 in the pot. Don't use a lot, and don't
use the G-5. The F-5 by itself should be fine.
