'Good support' for NC2 isn't going to happen - NC2 received it's last
update best part of a year ago, back in February of last year.  Later
on in the year it became obvious to users that we weren't likely to
receive updates to the very latest that was available simply because
it was due to become a part of NC3, and this would simply reduce the
likelihood of people buying it.

NC2 has no support.  Even if Vapor release an NC2 specific version of
1.4.4, it's only likely to be a good will gesture.  If all people are
asking for is an MD-II update, then what likelihood is there of them
upgrading if they get what they want?
