I never disagreed that it shouldn't be fixed. I only pointed out that it
is software that hasn't been supported for 11 months, has been out for
nearly 3 years now and has been replaced by a newer version which
Vaporware NOT Active still supports. It was released by a company that no
longer exists, yet people early on in this thread were attacking Olli
because of the lack of an update? I agree that updating the NC2 version
of MD2 would be a good gesture, I also agree that it shouldn't have been
sold without support up until fall '99, but do people truely see
threatening legal action against a company that doesn't even exist as a
valid course of action? I can read the headlines now on CUCUG, "NC2 Users
file Class Action suit against company that doesn't exist, plan to move
business to News Rog". Oh wait, CUCUG is gone. Oh wait, News Rog is gone
too. I'm sure everyone knows why Chris more or less has left the scene.
(People attacking him --some warranted, but the majority of attacks were
not). Yeah, we all expect a certain level of customer service, but this
isn't a multi-million dollar corporation we're dealing with, you know the
programmer's name and have direct communication with them because of how
small the market is, nothing more. I entered this thread when Olli was
being attacked by others in the same manner in which Chris was attacked.
Yeah, I advocate upgrading to software that is, like it or not, CURRENTLY
supported. If this poses a problem to some than so be it.
