Firstly, I tried to respond to this thread via mollymail.com (at work).
Sorry about that guys, somebody shoot me if I ever decide to do something
as foolish as that again.
It sent an advertisement that looked more like spam than a response to this
thread.

Perhaps, but my opinion is that the last update to NC2 was nearly a year
ago. Yes, it's unfortunate that some people may have purchased it a few
months before NC3 was released and I agree that there should have been a
fix, but can it honestly be expected that Olli stop coding current
projects (Like V bugfixes, MDII) So he can fix older software? I for one
would rather see work move forward rather than backwards. Common people,
upgrade IF you can swing it or the only bugfixes we're gonna see for MD
are for the Windows version. Just MHO.

I wouldn't say it's unethical. There's a fixed version for those who wish
to upgrade.
(Please no "my baby needs new shoes" stories or you wouldn't be hanging
here.)

No, the most user friendly thing to do would be to continue to support the
current software as awesome as Olli, Dave and others have done. If he can
or is willing to fix it that's great and he should be commended, however
it really shouldn't be expected of him. Again just MHO.

No, he'll forget about all of us if we don't upgrade.
I know that some people can't afford it (trust me I just graduated college
about 7 months ago.) I now spend less on beer and more on SoftWare. I've
recently bought, OS3.5, Developer 2.1, CGFX 4, NC3, Photogenics 4, TP 7,
Ibrowse 2, Digital Almanac II & my Amiga absolutely loves me for it as
does my liver. (No need to respond just consider it my tagline. Thanks)
