Subject: Re: Character conversion

Dear Lars - 290 KB of utilities (and that even ZIPped, so in fact it'
a lot more) just to change some Umlaute and accented letters ?
And then it even renders the result only in the not-at-all-so-pleasant
MIME-QP Kauderwelsch ?

Sorry but I would consider this not an ideal solution.

I included a functionality in ReRead to remap char.s for the screen
presentation of mails in a MAIL.DLU, or whatever text file you want
(and, if wanted, for a copy to file or printer) which does even do that
for single mails in a folder: on just two keystrokes, and on the fly.
It took about 200 code lines. I think it's exactly like that how it
should work - no trouble for the writer, no trouble for the receiver.
Everone reads-writes with the char set s/he likes.

Pardon me for a little publicity for my ReRead, <bg>.
