It would be possible to set up a new group, but it would be necessary to
do it with something like Netscape or another browser other than
Net-Tamer. Once set up, the list can be managed by e-mail, so that's
not a big problem. However, Net-Tamer users will be restricted to
e-mail access because Net-Tamer can't handle the Yahoo! web interface
for access to yahoogroups.

I'm not sure how much people would be exposed to Net-Tamer in that way,
but then again it might show them an alternative to Windows e-mail
software that is more dangerous when it comes to receiving e-mail
attachments or embedded html code that is designed to cause problems for
users. Net-Tamer is secure against macro viruses and trojans if you
don't _manually_ decode unsolicited attachments.

What I don't know is whether it would be possible to use Net-Tamer with
any of the many systems that have Windows-only modems, controllerless or
even Conexant HCF or PCTel HSP. I think many of us have seen these
modems included in new systems. I was playing with one (PCTel HSP) the
other day on a K6-2 system that is at an office of someone I assist.
The modem does work (well, it dials the phone), but I've never tried it
with a DOS program. One thing I'm sure of: Windows-only modems don't
work in DOS directly.
