Indian Railway has been using a package Pay Roll and Accounting on Oracle and D2k frontend. Basically it is a Platform specific - Microsoft environment based one. Of late, it has been decided to have a centralised version of database. However there is no mention of kind of changes in the whole environment. Can we have our contribution to adopt open source as an alternative. Is anyone interested?
