CRIS is not involved in the project. I will give a brief.
The existing packages were made in 90s as a pilot project to be implemented
in one division.
It was developed by a private vendor.
Later, it was extended to other divisions throughout it. In one of the
Railways, East Cost Railway, it was implementated by CRIS by partly n-tier..
Further Railway Board decided to have a centralised server in two locations
in iIndia around five years back.
The project did not materialise. The same thing is being again taken up. It
was said that East cost railway Model is being studied.

I am in Myosre division and was part of implementation maintenance of the
software two to three years and is still associated with the existing one.
Policy wise I do not have any say on it.
