No API is stable in this server, and it never has been.  That is the whole
point of the MMN, the API's change as the server evolves.  Having said
that, I don't want to see the API change much if we can help it, because
that does make it very hard for more people to start writing modules, but
I have been saying that for too long to start beating that drum again.

I don't not believe we should ever make a public announcement that the
server API is stable, because that means that we really can't change the
API even if we need to.

A beta release, AFAIAC, is supposed to make that statement for us.
However, with our current model, I am not really sure what a beta release
means, since the server could go from beta back to alpha, as it has
already.
