I'm sure Mandrake, once they heard of the poor quality, decided they simply couldn't afford to print more. The real question is how they came to the conclusion these things are 1) "definitive" rather than basic, and 2) acceptable quality. But then again, perhaps they are "good enough" for the majority of book buyers. I doubt these things are flying off the shelves. By the way, is the definitive guide the same book sold in the boxed sets? Miark
