I have installed LE 2005 on my spare hard drive, for checking it out. The installation included both KDE and Gnome. But Gnome does not appear as a session in the desktop manager for selecting.

There is probably a file somewhere which has to be edited, but I can't find it. I thought that Gnome should appear automatically in the list of sessions.

Please, how do I get Gnome to run?

Many thanks

Keith

Keith

I would wipe (write zeros ) the drive and do a new install with Gnome selected.

Have found starting with a "clean" drive sometimes helps.

Gnome should appear in the Session select box -& it should work.
