Try Fedora (or RedHat), Ubuntu, UserLinux, Debian, and SUSE. All of
these I've heard are good in the area of "user friendliness." See

hich one best fits your needs. I'm using Fedora right now and I plan
to give Ubuntu and then SUSE a test run.
Watch me start ;-)
I left SuSe because I had a serious screen freeze problem. Several times
a day I had to take down my computer
to get a move on. The SuSe support team did not even understand the
problem, they thought I was some
kind of an idiot that it was not worth taking seriously. It seemed that
they did not believe that what I told
them really happened.
So much for SuSe, but if you wanna try it, be my guest. :-)
