Thanks Graeme for the response. I've been having great difficulty with other SiS chips on this new motherboard. I purchsed the board becasue it was an AT board, one which I could use in my old AT case with old hardware.
I've also read reports that the others have been having difficulty with the SiS trident sound chip. I had asked the owner of the store if the board had a winmodem, he said no. The proprietor of the computer store wants a 20% restocking fee on the motherboard. One of the reasons I purchased the AT board was that I'm somewhat "financially challenged" at the current time. I've spent more time trying to get X to work on this board than the cost of the board itself. Moreover, if I dump this board, I have to get a new case, new power supply, etc, etc. Thank you.
