Not true... They do consume a lot of power. You always want a descent powersupply so that's no different you only need a powerful one now. About the boards.... no idea... I only run MSI which I haven't had any problems with. About the 1.4+... above 1.4 they become AthlonXP's which generate less heat and finally have a thermal device in there..... It's not as good as the p-iv thermal thingy yet but where getting there.... the only complaint I have with AMD is that they should friggin' fix those cores. They damage really easily and if they are damaged your warranty = /dev/null regards > > --- Lou Spironello <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Lionel Lecoq" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Sent: Monday, December 03, 2001 9:29 AM > > Subject: Re: [Newbie]Sis630 video problem > > > > > Hi, > > > I cannot help you directly but can point out that there were a few > > > posts with > > > > not completely > > > > > satisfactory solutions (but better than no solution) on this list a few > > > weeks > > > > ago.
