Finding the fixed font is something that's been working for about ten
years. It's certainly not something that is going to be helped by using
new, untested code. 4.2.0 is the latest release. Look again.
I am not using 4.2.0 as a way to find the fixed font - I am using it
because this laptop has a new graphics chipset that was not supported
by earlier versions of XFree86 4. The main problem is that 4.2.0 does
not seem to be correctly probing the screen size and I wanted to know
if this is fixed in a later version, or if I can set the screen size
in XF86Config.
